Welcome Statement: 
 

The Guyana High Commission in London is the official diplomatic representative of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.


The High Commission is charged with advancing Guyana’s foreign policy objectives with regard to bilateral relations with the United Kingdom and other European Countries to which the High Commission is accredited, as well as assigned multilateral fora. Accordingly, it seeks to develop and maintain strategic relations with countries at the bilateral level, as well as at the multilateral level. The High Commission acts as a conduit for investment and the promotion of trade by facilitating important and necessary linkages. It provides a platform for cultural engagement through the promotion of tourism and the commemoration/observation of Guyanese traditions.


At the bilateral level, the Guyana High Commission has responsibility for bilateral engagements with the Republic of France, the Kingdom of Spain, Iceland, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Croatia.

At the multilateral level the High Commission promotes Guyana’s interest and facilitates engagement on emerging issues on the international agenda between the relevant Government Ministries, national agencies and international institutions. The High Commission has responsibility for Guyana’s engagements with the Commonwealth and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The High Commission also assists in the facilitation of Guyana's engagements with the International Maritime Organization (IMO). 

The High Commission provides consular services to and supports the needs of Guyanese in the United Kingdom and parts of Europe. The High Commission works closely with the Guyanese diaspora to promote national goals and objectives and strengthen the linkages between Guyana and the UK and the European public.

OPENING HOURS:


The High Commission
opens from Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm (except in the case of holidays).

The Consular Section
opens from 9:30am to 2:30pm (for appointments only)
